The event

The public's focus is increasingly on compliance and transparency with international environmental and social standards. Socially sustainable consumption is an important trend among consumers. However, different norms, standards and voluntary agreements currently exist at national and international level. There is often a lack of clarity as to how binding these are ultimately to be implemented in the respective countries. However, mandatory and transparent measures are important to identify and prevent violations of labour and human rights standards.

The session will provide an overview of the current legal situation and give advice on how to implement international, environmental and social standards in supply chains. How can EU legislation further harmonise the different national regulations? What are the consequences of these EU regulations? These and other questions will be answered in the session.
