Alone is not enough – Ecosystems pave the way for a transformation of the food system
A profound transformation of the food industry is necessary to ensure our habitat and improve quality of life for our own and future generations. More rapid development cycles, comprehensive transparency and the close interlocking of the global value creation chain, ethical production and complete sustainability are only a few of the challenges the system is currently facing.
The further development of existing technologies and processes is essential for achieving this goal, but completely new technologies expand the value creation of artificial intelligence extending to biotechnology, which has to date been more familiar from the pharmaceuticals industry. The actors in the food system are increasingly realising that the new challenges reveal the limits of their previous structures. New, quick-response ecosystems powered by innovation are arising.
United in the mission of designing a sustainable food system - a look at consortia, cooperative ventures or even "Moonshot" projects like Neom can provide valuable insights into new strategies and options, in order to design their own path step by step and identify future potential today.
