The event

Energy costs account for a large share of the total costs of producing a product. Efficient use of energy and reduction of energy costs are a substantial factor in competitiveness. One important requirement for efficient use of energy is complete transparency of energy consumption and a comprehensive overview of all the energy costs. Intelligent algorithms recognise any deviations from the target condition, trigger an alarm in the event of boundary values being exceeded or any faults, offer specific proposals for solutions and even partly implement these automatically. This creates the basis for further optimisation measures and for achieving a sustainably efficient energy supply. Further important steps on the way to becoming an energy-efficient company, alongside the selection of the most favourable process steps and design of the associated equipment and machinery in accordance with energy aspects, are to optimise production processes and energy supply systems within the plant. The session focuses on examples from practice in modern production with high energy and resource efficiency and innovative technologies for supplying electricity, heat and refrigeration.
