The event

FieldFOOD project is an Innovation Action funded by the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme of the European Union. The main objective is to demonstrate the successful, real-scale introduction of portable, low cost PEF technology in the processing of plant-based foods as a strategy to improve the competitiveness of the European food industry. This flexible PEF technology promises to improve food quality (safety, nutritional, and sensorial properties), optimize process efficiency, reduce energy costs, and introduce new foods in the market. The FieldFOOD project consist of a multidisciplinary team of research institutions, a PEF generator manufacturer, and food processing companies. The industrial applicability of the PEF was tested for wine, olive oil, fruit juices, cider and tomato products. The presentation will show the main results obtained in this 3-year project.
