Dr. Keld Ejdrup Markedal

Studied agricultural science and got the M.Sc. degree from The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University, Denmark in 1998. Has a PhD in Biochemistry and Natural Product Chemistry from University of Copenhagen and a certificate in Business Administration from University of Southern Denmark.
Worked as Research Scientist at Novozymes developing enzyme applications for the food and beverage industry. Continued at University of Copenhagen as Assistant Professor (2005-2008) and Associate Professor (2018-2018). Have during this employment been teaching courses such as Biochemistry, Natural Product Chemistry, Food Process Equipment, Enzymology and Experimental Biochemistry and Food Enzyme Applications. Research has been focused on food process development and up-scaling, transferring process knowledge from academia to industry. Is the co-founder and CEO of Bioptimate.
Are currently working as R&D Director at SiccaDania A/S.
Is the inventor of 5 patents and have +50 scientific contributions.
