Dr. Lea Meier-Pokorny
Lea Meier-Pokorny is a food lover and food processor. She did her PhD in food process engineering at the ETH in Zurich in Prof. E.J. Windhab's group. This involved the new development of a process for foaming of fat-based foods, such as butter and praline fillings. After the PhD, Lea co-founded the start-up "microPow", which specialises in the natural encapsulation of food colouring and flavouring. For almost 3 years now, Lea has been the head of science at Kinematica and responsible for the new business unit "Kinematica Science". The focus lies on science, prototyping and innovation. The close contact with customers is a daily motivator and leads to creative ideas and executions. Her love for food and especially for the natural processing of food is always a part of her career.
