The presentation deals with the topic of cost drivers in weighing technology and looks at various cost drivers that have an above-average impact on process costs. 

It emphasises the critical role of accuracy in weighing technology, as precise weighing results not only ensure compliance with legal regulations, but also have a direct impact on costs due to rejects and rework. This cost consideration can also be extended to include the margin per pack.

In addition to accuracy, availability is also analysed in more detail as a cost driver.

Availability is a decisive factor for the efficiency of the production process. Higher availability means less downtime, optimised production cycles and therefore better use of the investment.

Other influencing factors such as cleaning and set-up times will also be analysed.
