Karsten Beyer is branch manager of the Dresden office of SimPlan AG. Moreover, he is lecturer in the field of system optimization at the Faculty II of Mechanical and Bioprocess Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Hannover and a guest lecturer in the field of system optimization and simulation of packaging lines at the TU Dresden, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Chair of Processing Machines/Processing Technology. He studied law and computer science at the TU Dresden as well as the b.i.b International College Bergisch Gladbach. His main field of activity is the analysis, optimization and simulation of processing and packaging plants. As project manager of SimPlan AG, he was responsible for various research projects, including change-over time optimization of processing and packaging plants or the investigation of the use of collaborative robots in packaging plants, funded by the BMEL.
