Delivering solutions for challenging greenfield project – an excellent example of Montelektro’s capabilities

During over 33 years of delivering industrial automation and IT solutions, Montelektro's engineers gained rich expertise in implementing brownfield, greenfield, and revamping projects for various industries, mainly brewing.

As part of its business strategy of targeting other areas of the food and beverage industry, the company has also delivered numerous electrical engineering, automation, and IT solutions to food and beverage plants worldwide and gained the trust of prominent original equipment manufacturers and end customers in the F&B field.

Delivering an electrical engineering and automation project for Estonia's greenfield plant cheese factory, Epiim is an excellent case study of the company's expertise.

The project involved milk reception, process treatment, CIP, and filtration for cheddar and semi-hard cheese lines. Montelektro's scope of work included electrical engineering, software programming for the CIP station using Tetra Pak Plant Master solution, power distribution engineering, automation panels engineering, electrical panels design, electrical and pneumatic equipment delivery, as well as installation and commissioning of the electrical installation.

Montelektro supplied the plant with six sets of bigger floor-standing MCC panels/cabinets, one set of standing cabinets (PLC), 45 RIO cabinets, and ten HMI panels/cabinets. The entire project was completed in less than 18 months, and the electrical installation lasted six months. The new cheese factory produces hard, semi-hard cheese, cheddar cheese, fresh pasteurized cream, and sweet whey powder, which demands processing more than one million liters of milk daily.
