AKUPRESS F produces more juice in Brazil

A Brazilian customer of Bellmer Kufferath has a mill based in Petrolina in the state of Pernambuco (Northeast Brazil) where it processes acerola fruit into concentrates and powders with a very high vitamin C content. The previous dejuicing technology left a comparatively large quantity of juice in the residue. With a view to increasing the juice yield, the new AKUPRESS F 500 screw press developed by Bellmer Kufferath has been used downstream of the primary dejuicing process since November 2023.
The design of this product line meets the most stringent hygiene standards and allows for easy cleaning during plant shutdowns. The finely perforated screen baskets ensure maximum retention of fruit fibres, while the operator is able to control the process very closely via the speed and counter pressure on the cone and thus achieve the optimum dry content in the pressed material.

Already in the very first days of start-up, the customer managed to achieve a significant increase in the juice yield and a high level of product quality. The dry content of the residue rose to over 50 %.

AKUPRESS F screw press is suitable for dejuicing and dewatering any type of fibrous fruit, vegetables and other food products, including coconut, pineapple, ginger, beetroot, tea, or raw materials for modern meat substitutes.
