We are expanding our management team and welcome Theis Philip Jensen as President of our DriveTech division

We established the DriveTech division in 2022 with the acquisition of Momentum Technologies in Germany, expanding our portfolio to include synchronous, oil-free drum motors in addition to hygienic components.

To drive and support this new business unit, we have appointed Theis Philip Jensen as the President of DriveTech. Theis will promote the benefits of DriveTech’s synchronous drum motors, including improved food safety, lower energy consumption and higher motor efficiency.

Coming from a position as Commercial Director, Theis has the right mindset and skills to drive sales for drum motors in the global market.

Over the past few months, we have expanded our teams in R&D, application engineering, technical sales and other areas to ensure we are well-resourced to service and advise our customers on value-adding solutions and hygiene-optimised drum motors.

Theis says: “I’m looking forward to working in this exciting industry where we can make a difference and ensure safer food production at the end-customer’s premises while reducing energy consumption.

Both are critical parameters for our customers, and we’re excited about how well our solutions and approach meet our customers’ needs.”

Theis has lived in the USA in recent years with brief stays in Poland and China. He has held global roles in a Danish C25 company in Copenhagen, where he worked with strategy, portfolio management, commercial development and operations. He has now returned to his roots in Aalborg, and is looking forward to an exciting journey with NGI. Theis lives in Aalborg with his wife and two children.

We welcome Theis to Team NGI and look forward to working with him!

Why choose NGI synchronous drum motors?

Optimise food safety and efficiency
One of the major benefits of our synchronous drum motors is the technology itself. A synchronous drum motor runs completely oil-free, therefore guaranteeing a higher level of food safety. A drum motor is space-saving and a single component with all the technology protected inside the drum.

This design increases reliability, reduces operating costs and guarantees a higher level of food safety!

Synchronous drum motors are the sustainable choice!
Heat inside asynchronous motors is caused by losses: iron loss, copper loss and mechanical losses, resulting in low motor efficiency. NGI synchronous motors have higher efficiency - up to nine times less power consumption than asynchronous motors due to minimised losses.

Standardisation through multi-speed dimensioning
NGI synchronous drum motors can run very slow or very fast with the same torque, making the overall design more versatile and multi-purpose. That results in many new applications - including quick starts and stops in packaging processes. Our synchronous motors offer up to 2.6 m/s linear speed.
