About Gustav Melin
Gustav Melin works as senior advisor and bioenergy expert in the BKtech Group, focusing on business development and pellet production. He joined BKtech in August 2023, leaving the Swedish Bioenergy Association, SVEBIO, where he had been the CEO for 15 years.
His forte is in policy on how to improve bioenergy development, but also in possible solutions and the potential for advancement of bioenergy production in Sweden and Europe. He has worked across the entire bioenergy spectrum including biopower, bioheat and biofuel production as well as market development in all sectors.
Gustav Melin has a MSc in Agriculture from the Swedish University of Agriculture in Uppsala, Sweden and has been active in the bioenergy business since 1988. Gustav Melin was Director of the board of Bioenergy Europe for more than a decade and was the association’s president from 2010 to 2016. He is also since 2022 a board member of the company Mantex listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market.
